New York, October 20th 2007.
Dear friends,
2007 is a key year for our newly created association. Since the beginning of the year, you may have participated in some of the events here in New York, or you may have just heard about us in the press or on the internet. In any case, we thank you for your interest.
2007 is also the year of the formal establishment of our association. We are very pleased to announce that BZH New York is now registered in the state of New York as a "Non-Profit Organization".
The election of the board took place on August 30th.

Like any new association, ours requires a lot of energy and goodwill to grow in the best possible conditions. To continue organizing events in the future, we have established four working committees and decided to launch our campaign for membership.
Becoming a member of the association through an annual fee can mean two things. Those who wish to participate in the organization of our projects can become active members of the association and get involved in one or more of our committees, or it can be simply a way to help us financially and encourage our actions.
Being a member, you will also get discounted rates to participate in the events we will organize in 2008 as well as various benefits from our partners in New York.
BZH New York is a platform to help Bretons and friends of Brittany having projects in New York; each committee brings its expertise and network to facilitate those projects and ensure their success. The areas covered by each committee will evolve with the ideas and projects of its members.
Your encouragement and, in many cases your involvement, have been key to the success of our projects. The year 2008 also promises to be very active, with four key dates: St Patrick’s Day in March, St Yves’ Day in May, Bastille Day in July and the Cyber Fest Noz in the fall.
In 2008, thanks to the support of the Region Bretagne and the Comite Regional du Tourisme, we will celebrate St Yves' Day in New York around May 19th. We will organize events promoting Brittany, including concerts, meetings with business leaders plus a special event to promote tourism in Brittany.
Follow the directions on the home page to become a member. We count on your support to promote Brittany, and help Bretons and friends of Brittany with projects in New York.
Kenavo,
Laurent Corbel
